Merv Hosking played 19 Seasons of A Grade for Lake View between the 1953-54 & 1971-72 seasons & is arguably the greatest player the club has seen across the journey. A Life Member of Lake View & the EGCA, Merv played in 10 A Grade premierships, 7 as Captain. He played in 4 Boan Cup winning Country Week teams for the EGCA (player in 1958, Captain in 1968, 1969 & 1972 wins). Merv also played in four W.A. Country XI matches against international sides, twice against the West Indies (1960 & 1968), MCC (1972), India (1967) & captained 2 of those sides. In the match against India he top scored for the W.A. Country XI with 52. Scored 36 Local & Country Week Centuries. Inducted into the Goldfields Sporting Hall of Fame for Cricket 2007.

Considered the Godfather of the Lake View Cricket Club, Roy Mitchell played 18 seasons of A Grade for Lake View between 1939-40 & 1961-62 & was a true legend of the club in many capacities including player, captain, coach, committee man & mentor. A Life Member of both Lake View & the EGCA, Roy played in a staggering 15 premierships, 11 A Grade & 4 in B Grade competitions. Captain of the 1958 EGCA Country Week A Grade Boan Cup winning team, he also took a 5 wicket haul against a SACA representative side in 1955 for the Goldfields. Roy was instrumental in selling the concept to the WACA to have the MCC (Oct 1962) & West Indies (Oct 1968) open their Australian tours in Kalgoorlie-Boulder with tour matches against the W.A. Country XI,

Bevan Kelly played 16 seasons of A Grade cricket for Lake View between 1954-55 & 1970-71. A 9 time A Grade premiership player Bevan was an all rounder who predominantly opened the batting with Merv Hosking & was also a successful spin bowler. An integral member of the 4peat premierships between 1959-60 through to 1962-63, Bevan was also in the 1958 & 1969 Country Week winning sides & played in 3 Goldfields Vs WACA matches 1960, 1963 & 1966 (The 1963 side defeated the WACA).

Allan Spence played at least 24 seasons of cricket for Lake View, 22 seasons of that A-Grade between 1953-54 & 1976-1977. A Life Member of Lake View & the EGCA, as well as a former A Grade Captain, Allan played in 9 Senior premierships, 7 A-Grade & 2 in B Grade. A W.A. Country XI representative twice against International sides (MCC In 1962 & India in 1967) he also represented Eastern Goldfields against the WACA & Goldfields at numerous Country Weeks being a member of the 1969 Boan cup winning side. In 1 game against the WACA in 1960 he snared 7 dismissals, 5 being stumpings - including the wicket of Bob Simpson (who he stumped). The photo to the right is from October 1962 when Allan ran out MCC (England) Captain Ted Dexter (Kalgoorlie Miner 27 November 2019). Inducted into the Goldfields Sporting Hall of Fame for Cricket 2021.

Brian "Bulla" MacGregor played 10 Seasons of A Grade for Lake View in a few stints, firstly between 1955/56 through to 1959/60 (he moved to the city to play 150 games of football for East Perth in 1960), then again between 1970/71 - 1973/74 & lastly a few games in 1976/77 & 1977/78 whilst chiefly being in B Grade in those seasons. A Life Member of Lake View & the EGCA (& a string of other Life Memberships), Brian regularly opened the batting & bowling in his younger years, was a country week Boan Cup winning member in 1958, represented the WA Country XI (Including a game against the Goldfields) as well as Goldfields against the WACA on at least a couple of occasions. His exploits in the 1959/60 Grand Final are a club record, 16/77 & with the current format of single innings only per match will in all likelihood never be bettered.

The elder brother of Bevan Kelly, Grenville Kelly was an 8 time EGCA A Grade premiership player for Lake View. Grenville also represented the W.A. Country XI against the MCC (England) side that played a tour match in Kalgoorlie-Boulder in 1962, he opened the bowling in both MCC Innings & took the wicket of John Murray (Wicket Keeper), a catch to dismiss Ken Barrington in the first innings & another to dismiss Fred Trueman in the second innings, scored 10 from 2 scoring shots, a 4 & a big 6 over long on. In a game against Merredin in November 1960 he took 5/1 from 8 deliveries. Played in the 1963 EGCA side that defeated the WACA. Member of the LVCC 4peat premierships between 1959-60 through to 1962-63.

Jack Peart was a legendary Goldfields cricketer, having played on turf in the region between 1929-1930 through to 1956-1957. He won 5 A Grade premierships in the Goldfields Cricket Associations A Grade competition, 1 in the current EGCA (Lake View 1954-1955), 1 B Grade Premiership in the GCA as well as a premiership for Power Corporation in the Saturday Turf Association. A member of the 1930 & 1938 Goldfields sides who won the A Grade Boan Cup, he also represented Goldfields against the WACA in 1937 & 1948 & the SACA in 1940 (captained by Don Bradman) & 1955. Well regarded as an opening batsman & wicketkeeper, an incomplete tally to date shows that in the GCA, Saturday Turf & EGCA competitions he played 293 matches, scored 9247 runs (5 x 100's & 56 x 50's) took 113 catches & 71 stumpings. Jack was also very handy with the ball having captured 214 wickets, 1 x 10 WM, 13 x 5 WI's & 2 hat tricks. He was an ex-teammate (at Centrals CC), lifelong friend & early mentor of Wally Langdon (Captained W.A. in Sheffield Shield). Life member of Lake View Cricket Club. Life Member of the EGCA.

Geoff Hicks played 14 seasons of A Grade for the Viewers between 1955-56 & 1972-73 & was a 6 time premiership player, his first in 1955-56 & last in 1969-70.  Having started playing the game as a junior in the 1940's for Centrals Cricket Club in the Goldfields, he topped the batting average for Goldfields in the 1948 Country week & was selected in a Goldfields side to play the WACA in March 1948 where he top scored with 54 in the first innings. By the 1948-49 season he was in Perth playing 1st grade pennant for Midland-Guildford (& later West Perth). In October 1953 Geoff played in a W.A. state trial match & assisted in putting on a 108 run partnership with Wally Langdon for the 5th wicket. Whilst he ultimately didn't win a shield cap he did play representative cricket for the WACA twice against the Goldfields (1950 & 1951) & twice against them (in 1948 & 1966). In October 1965 he was selected as Vice-Captain for the W.A. Country XI against the M.C.C. at Moora where he scored 29. In December 1964 he scored 102 in an Eastern Goldfields side that defeated the W.A. Country XI at Sir Richard Moore (Goldfields putting on 312). Member of the 1969 Eastern Goldfields side that won the Boan Cup (A Grade Country Week). A multi-talented sportsman Geoff also played WAFL football for Subiaco football club in the early 1950's (wing & rover) & locally played in the 1948 grand final for Kalgoorlie City as well as coaching the Kanga's league side in 1957.

Mark Hill, a former Sheffield Shield player for Tasmania & Western Australian Sheffield Shield squad member who the club was lucky enough to nab when he arrived in Kalgoorlie-Boulder in early 1987. Described / classified as "Ultra Fast" in the Kalgoorlie Miner on numerous ocsassions (& in various other sources as one of the fastest bowlers in Australia in the mid 1980's) he played 67 A Grade matches for Lake View between 1986-87 & 1997-98. He delivered one of the most hostile & devastating bowling performances in the grand final of 1986-87 that many of our long time supporters who witnessed it had ever seen. O'Shaughnessy medallist in 1988-89, Captain & senior coach in the 1987-88 premiership side, coach of the 2004-05 premiership side & coach of the 2002-03 U/17's premiership side. Life member of Lake View Cricket Club.

Darren Gaby played in 24 seasons of A-Grade cricket for Lake View between 1989-90 & 2017-18 (Mainly between 89-90 & 2011-12 & 1 in 17-18) & is one of the all time greats of the club. A life member of Lake View, as well as a former President, Coach & A Grade Captain of the club, Darren played in 3 A Grade Premierships & was a multiple W.A. Country XI & Eastern Goldfields representative, as well as a member of the 1991 EGCA Boan Cup Country week winning side.
Statistically he is at present (with what has been compiled so far) the clubs A Grade record holder for Matches played, current record holder for most 50's scored, Highest Run Aggregate in a season (2003-04) 2nd in the All Time A Grade Batting Aggregate, 2nd in Most Centuries scored as well as having snared over 300 wickets. In just his 5th A Grade innings for the club in Feb 1990 as a teenager he scored his first 50 (63).

Trevor Spence played in 19 seasons of A-Grade cricket for Lake View between 1982-83 & 2001-02. Trevor's Grandfather George "Googa" Spence & Father Allan "Humma" Spence had both played for the Viewers & like his father Allan, Trevor is also a life member of Lake View. A former Club President, former Senior &  Juniors Coach as well as A Grade Captain of the club (in multiple seasons), Trevor played in 2 A Grade premierships in 1992-93 & 2001-02 (as well as plenty of A Grade grand finals) & was a multiple campaign Eastern Goldfields representative at country week, including the 1991, 1997 (Capt), 1998 (Capt) EGCA A Grade Boan Cup Country week winning sides, & in 1994 B Grade (Capt).

A life member of Lake View, as well as a former Coach & A Grade Captain of the club (in multiple seasons), Don played in 4 A Grade & 1 B Grade Premierships & was a multiple campaign Eastern Goldfields representative at country week, as well as a member of the 1968 (& 1978) EGCA Boan Cup Country week winning side, & in November 1969 played in a Goldfields XI against a Rothmans International XI.
Don is ranked the clubs 2nd  highest A Grade wicket taker, currently ranked 3rd for A Grade matches played (2 matches behind older brother Merv) & 4th for A Grade Run Aggregate.

A life member of Lake View, as well as a former Coach & A Grade Captain of the club (in multiple seasons), Brett played in the 1979-80 A Grade Premiership & was a multiple campaign Eastern Goldfields representative at country week. At the conclusion of the 1981-82 Brett was named the Goldfields Cricketer of the year. A stalwart of the club, Brett's father Reg & son Zane are also Life Members of Lake View.

Zane Arthur played in 19 seasons of A-Grade cricket for Lake View between 1997-98 & 2019-20. A product of our Juniors system he is a life member of Lake View, as well as a former Coach & A Grade Captain of the club (in multiple seasons), Zane played in the 2001-02, 2010-11 & 2016-17 A Grade Premierships & was a multiple campaign Goldfields representative at country week. The O'Shaughnessy medallist in 2001-02 he also claimed the Cranston Medal that year for his exploits in the grand final with a haul of 11 wickets. In 2003 Zane was a member of the W.A. Country XI side that won the National Country Cricket Championship for the 2nd time in it's history. One of the best bowlers the club has had he is ranked 6th for wickets taken & has the 2nd best Bowling Figures in an innings for our EGCA A Grade (behind only Keith Ewen with 8/17). A key member of the 2016-17 premiership side Zane captured 24 wickets @ 5.85 for the season (economy rate 1.85) & with the economy rates that we have compiled comfortably sits atop that list (2.66). If the current EGCA competition format remains the same in the future it's likely that he will remain the last Lake View player to take an A Grade 10 wicket haul for the club. Zane also played first grade pennant cricket in Perth for Fremantle & Willeton.

Michael Worthington, another of the great all rounders of the club. Having come up through Lake Views Juniors he is a life member of Lake View, as well as a former Coach & A Grade Captain of the club (in multiple seasons). "Gorby" has been a member of 3 A Grade & 2 B Grade Premiership sides, won 2 x O'Shaughnessy Medals, is a multiple campaign Goldfields representative at Country Week, as well as a member of the 2020 EGCA Boan Cup Country week winning side (MVP of the tournament). 8 time Club A Grade Fairest & Best winner. A Right Hand bat & LH Spinner & Seamer, Michael is currently ranked the 4th highest Club A Grade wicket taker, 4th highest for Club A Grade Run Aggregate. 5th for Club A Grade matches played. Michael has also previously played 1st grade pennant cricket in Perth for Midland-Guildford.
